Charting the Land of Flowers - 500 Years of Florida Maps

Adults are invited to explore the earliest depiction of Florida on the 1511 Martyr Map to a 21st-century view of Florida from space, showcasing the dramatic changes that have occurred in Sunshine State over the past 500 years through historic maps. Join Rodney Kite-Powell, the Director of the Touchton Map Library at the Tampa Bay History Center, as he presents a succinct and engaging history of Florida’s changing landscape as pictured by maps. No registration is required.
