Japanese New Year's Card
Eustis Memorial Library - Community Room
In-Person
Adults will create their own New Year's cards using watercolor paints. The session will include:
-
A short introduction to traditional Japanese New Year's cards (nengajo), which are sent to friends and family to celebrate the new year.
-
A brief explanation of the Chinese zodiac (eto), highlighting that next year is the Year of the Horse. Participants can include horse-themed drawings on their cards.
The program is designed to be fun and accessible for all skill levels, offering a hands-on cultural experience and a personal New Year's card to take home.
